Can you request a more thorough pat-down from the TSA?

They'd probably just get more aggressive with you or try to backfire your plan and humiliate you. I'm sure they've been through it all before and wouldn't deal with the nonsense. Not that I blame you...it's just that it probably wouldn't work.
